Despite a week of rainy weather, drought is still impacting Kansas winter wheat condition. The latest crop progress and condition report says 29 percent of the crop is rated good-to-excellent with 98 percent headed. Ninety-eight percent of corn is planted with 77 percent emerged. A week of warmer, drier weather allowed Nebraska farmers to wrap up corn planting. USDA’s latest crop progress and condition report says 98 percent of the crop is in with 88 percent emerged.  Seventy-five percent is rated good-to-excellent.
