Legislation introduced Wednesday would put a moratorium on new signups for the Conservation Reserve Program. April corn for ethanol, soybean crush down from March

Corn for ethanol use dipped in April. The USDA says 415.738 million bushels of corn were ground for fuel alcohol, 5% less than in March due to seasonal maintenance and 1% lower than April 2022 because of some industry uncertainties about demand. 1,619,677 tons of distillers dried grains with solubles were produced, a decline of 5% on both the month and the year. CME milk futures, cash dairy mostly up Thursday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were higher except for dry whey Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. June Class III milk was up $0.22 at $15.63.  July was up $0.41 at $16.56.  August was up $0.37 at $17.37.  September was up $0.17 at $18.12.  October through April contracts ranged from unchanged from October through February to three cents lower in March.
