Higher corn pushes cattle futures lower

At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were lower, feeders led the way down on the strength in corn.  April live cattle closed $.50 lower at $141.42 and June lives closed $0.60 lower at one $137.70. Price surge resumes for corn, soybeans, wheat

Soybeans were sharply higher on commercial and technical buying. The volatility and uncertainty connected to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continued to impact commodity and financial markets. Arkansas cotton farmers to receive rebate from the ABWEF

Arkansas cotton farmers will receive a cash rebate from the Arkansas Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation.  The board of directors voted to issue a $.75 rebate to cotton farmers for acreage reported in 2021 under the state’s boll weevil eradication program.
