Consumers’ buying habits in times of higher prices

Retail prices for beef and pork are well above year-ago levels.  In fact, for beef, they’re up more than 10% year-over-year and for pork, they’re up more than 11% from 2021.

University of Missouri livestock economist Scott Brown says that doesn’t mean there aren’t good buys at the grocery store.
