Corn, soybean planting almost wrapped up in Nebraska

Corn and soybean planting is almost wrapped up for many Nebraska farmers.

Clay Govier farms in the central area of the state and says timely rains have crops off to a good start.   “Once we got past that cold weather and things decided to stay consistently warm, things are emerging and in pretty good shape.”

USDA says 96 percent of the corn crop has been planted with 81 percent emerged.  Soybeans are 90 percent in and 68 percent has emerged.
