Cornelious “Cory” Brewer

Cornelious “Cory” Tyrone Brewer, 34, of Keokuk, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in Keokuk, Iowa.

Cory was born on September 27, 1991, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Alonzo and Kimberly (Boyd) Brewer. He graduated from Keokuk High School in 2010. Cory had many talents, and was employed at W2 Fuel, Keokuk Steel Castings and Hickey Contracting. He also worked as a handyman and mechanic, tinkering on anything with a motor. Cory was a man of the great outdoors, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and cooking out with his family and friends. Cory will always be remembered for his stubborn and respectful personality and his deep love for his family.

Cory is survived by his mother Kimberly (Von Dewey) Brewer of Keokuk; his father Alonzo Brewer of Keokuk; his significant other Cheyenne Crenshaw of Keokuk; five children: Cayden, Lamosi, Lamiah, Lazayah and Laziyrah Brewer, all of Keokuk; four siblings: Tyann Brewer (Buck) of Keokuk, Hailey Watson of Keokuk, Alonna Brewer of Quincy, Illinois, and Aubree Brewer of Keokuk; four nieces and nephews: Tyjah, Tayshaun, Taylon and Elsie; his grandmother Audrey Worley of Keokuk; his bonus mom Heidi Watson of Keokuk; two great-aunts: Barbara Stewart of Keokuk and Donna Harris of Denver, Colorado; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cory is preceded in death by his grandparents: Charles and Vivian Boyd, Orlando Brewer and Kenneth Worley; great-grandparents: Raymond and Louise Boyd and Mildred Dawson; his great-uncle Ronnie Stewart; his uncle Doug Boyd; two aunts: Amy and Cindy Boyd; and his cousin Austin Boyd.

Memorial services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Printy Funeral Home, 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk, Iowa.

Memorials may be directed to the family in care of Kimberly Brewer for expenses.
