A west-central Minnesota corn and soybean farmer is making changes because of high input prices.
But Patrick O’Leary of Danvers tells Brownfield the crop rotation remains the same.
“Whether we’re planting corn or soybeans, those ratios are staying about the same. (But high input costs) definitely has changed how we’re looking at utilizing inputs and maybe looking a little bit more strictly at the quantities that we need of each product and what we really need to grow the best crop that we can and not overspend on production.”
O’Leary chairs the Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council.
