Cool, wet weather limited fieldwork across Iowa this past week.
In its first weekly crop progress report of the year, USDA says there were less than two days suitable to be working ground statewide, but some farmers were able to apply fertilizer and seed oats.

Subsoil moisture levels across Iowa are rated 53 percent adequate to surplus and topsoil moisture levels are considered 66 percent adequate to surplus.
