Form 11 appeal deadline rapidly approaching for Indiana landowners

Indiana landowners have until June 15 to file an appeal on the Form 11 notice of assessment.  The Form 11 is an annual notice sent by the county assessor’s office informing landowners of the assessed value of their property as of January 1, 2022.

Katrina Hall, Senior Director, Policy Strategy & Advocacy for Indiana Farm Bureau says many farmers are seeing a substantial increase on their assessments.  “If the value of their land, from year to the next, goes up more than 16.28%, then the assessor has changed some sort of the details of the characteristics of their farmland,” she says.
