Hog futures lower to end the week

At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live cattle were mixed, adjusting spreads and feeders were lower on the higher move in corn.  June lives closed $.35 higher at $161.92 and August lives closed $.07 higher at $159.50.  August feeders closed $1.72 lower at $221.42 and September feeders closed $1.62 lower at $225.05. 

It was a quiet Friday across cattle country.  For the week, Southern live deals were marked at mostly $172, $1 lower than the previous week’s weighted averages.
