House Ag Committee member wants to protect risk management tools in next farm bill

Protecting risk management tools in the next farm bill is a priority for a member of the House Agriculture Committee.

Minnesota Democrat Angie Craig tells Brownfield conversations with stakeholders are ongoing.

“What I’m hearing from my farmers and from my farm advisory council is first and foremost we’ve got to make sure that our risk management strategies like crop insurance get full support in the next farm bill.”

She’s also looking forward to discussing how to address extreme weather events.
