John Deere to make diagnostic software available

John Deere will allow public access to their equipment diagnostic software.  Deere says starting in May, their Customer Service ADVISOR diagnostic tool will be available to customers and independent repair shops online at JohnDeereStore.com and through dealerships. 

Deere says the Customer Service ADVISOR unlocks deeper system levels allowing more advanced repairs by the owner or mechanic.  Users can connect to machines with an Electronic Data Link (EDL) to clear and refresh codes, take diagnostic readings, and perform limited calibrations.
