Due to COVID-19, water bill shut offs, penalties and late fees were temporarily suspended. The Keokuk Waterworks understands the financial hardship this has placed on our community and looks forward to life returning to a new normal. All on time payments are appreciated. The Keokuk Municipal Waterworks will resume collecting late fees and terminating services. Accounts with high balances may request payment arrangements. Payment arrangements are a collection assistance program that eligible customers can use to repay an outstanding balance that is made over a three month time-frame. It will be important that customers honor their commitment to pay. During this time, the Keokuk Waterworks office remains closed to the public. The Keokuk Municipal Waterworks will continue serving our customers over the phone at (319) 524-5285 for new service and any other customer service needs.
On July 6, 2020, penalties will go into effect if payment is not received by the 5th of the month.
On August 16, 2020, late fees and shut offs will go into effect.
