Largely dry weather ahead for much of the Corn Belt

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of above-normal temperatures in the West and Southeast, while cooler-than-normal conditions will be limited to the central Plains, southern Rockies, and upper Midwest.

Meanwhile, near- to below-normal rainfall across much of the country, including the Midwest, should contrast with wetter-than-normal weather in the Southwest and portions of neighboring regions, as well as an area stretching from the eastern Gulf Coast region to southern New England.
