The Dakota Access Pipeline became a topic of discussion yet again at Tuesday’s Lee county Board of Supervisors meeting. Chippewa Resources Project Manager Lester Caldwell attended to report how things have been going between county land owners and Energy Transfer Partners who own the pipeline. Board members Gary Folluo and Matt Pflug questioned Caldwell on whether there have been any issues that the pipeline hasn’t handled to his satisfaction. Caldwell stated there really hadn’t been and Ron Fedler stated he hasn’t had any complaint calls recently. Caldwell also explained that Dakota Access Pipeline personnel are beginning to pull out of Lee County.

The only other issue raised occurred when Gary Folluo asked First Deputy Sheriff Will Conlee whether the DAP had agreed to pay the county for overtime hours at the Sheriff’s department. Conlee stated he hadn’t heard from them and auditor Denise Fraise said she would contact assistant county attorney Ross Braden to have him send another letter.
