Lois Irene (Bolton) Scheuermann, 94, of Quincy, IL passed away on March 23, 2025, at Good Samaritan Home in Quincy. Lois was born on November 10, 1930, in Hamilton, IL and is the daughter of Samuel and Genevieve (Dighton) Bolton. Lois attended Hamilton High School and graduated in 1948. She later married and lived on a farm near Tioga, IL before moving to Quincy in 1977.
Lois worked for 22 years in the billing department at Blessing Hospital before retiring in 1995. Lois was a member of the Golden’s Point Christian Church growing up and later became a member of Faith Journey Church when she moved to Quincy. She enjoyed quilting, puzzles, gardening and loved spending time with family. The three most important things to Lois; faith, family, and hard work. One of her greatest lessons to her family was to always help and take care of family as they are the most important things in this life and she will be missed dearly by her children and grandchildren.
Lois is survived by her daughters, Cindy Dievert of Springfield, MO and Nancy Lillard of Canton, MO and a sister, Marilyn (Bolton) Loos of Mendon, IL. Six grandchildren -Sarah (Joey) Fryer of Canton, Tim Glasgow of St. Patrick, MO, and Lindsey (Taylor) Perrigo of Eau Claire, WI, Nathan Dievert (Lisa) of Battlefield, MO, James (Desirae) Dievert of Cottlesville, MO, Kristie Dievert of Springfield, MO and eight great grandchildren- Mason Fryer, Trey Fryer, Macy Glasgow, and Taylor Glasgow all of Canton, MO and Jessia, Aliana, Lily, and Avalyn Dievert all of Battlefield, MO. Lois had numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly as well.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Virginia (Bolton) Huls.
Pallbearers: Tim Glasgow, Nathan Dievert, James Dievert, Joey Fryer, Taylor Perrigo, Mason Fryer, Trey Fryer Honorary Pallbearers: Craig Huls, Eric Huls, Rodney Huls, Adrian Van Os, Steve Loos, and Dan Williamson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 27th, 2025, at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery north of Hamilton. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 at the funeral home. Memorials may be left in remembrance of Lois for the Oak Grove Cemetery. Printy Funeral Home of Hamilton is in charge of the arrangements.
