Marilyn Mullins

Marilyn Jean Mullins, 88, of Hamilton, went home to be with our Lord Jesus on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois. Marilyn was born on February 24, 1936, in Nauvoo, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Bernard and Rosemary Schafer. Marilyn was united in marriage to James V Busch and had 4 children, they later divorced. On December 4, 1982, she was united in marriage to Larry Mullins in Hamilton, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2006. Marilyn was employed as a hairdresser and later worked at Methode in Carthage IL . She was a faithful Christian & member of First Christian Church in Hamilton and enjoyed attending Bible studies. She enjoyed spending her free time with her Children and Grandchildren, reading her Bible, solving jigsaw puzzles and crocheting. Marilyn is survived by four children: Charles (Joni) Busch of Montrose, Iowa, Lisa (George) Bauswell of Fort Madison IA , Steve Busch and Kristine (Chuck) Shinn of Mediapolis, Iowa; her brother Donnie (Barb) Schafer of Nauvoo; and several grandchildren. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Loretta Tory and her brother Jim Schafer. A Celebration of life with friend’s & family will be held at a later time. Memorials may be directed to First Christian Church of Hamilton.
