Near-seasonal warmth, a more active moisture pattern ahead for parts of the Corn Belt

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures and near- or above-normal rainfall across large sections of the U.S., with exceptions confined to the northern and southern tiers of the country.  For example, warmer-than-normal weather will be largely limited to two areas—from the Pacific Northwest to Lake Superior and from Texas to Florida.

Meanwhile, drier-than-normal conditions should be confined to western Washington, the upper Midwest, and an area stretching from southeastern Arizona to Florida.
