Patsy Ann Loyd, age 71, of Quincy, IL went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
Patsy was born on July 12, 1953, in Mondamin, Iowa. She was the daughter of Howard and Stacia (Price) Loyd. Patsy graduated in 1971 from West Harrison High School in Mondamin, Iowa.
Patsy worked in sales and marketing in the education industry for several years. She was very passionate about every child having the right to a good education in a safe environment. Patsy was a long-time member of Burnside Christian Church (BCC) in Burnside, Illinois. While attending BCC, she enjoyed helping with the landscaping and with the decorations and backdrops for Vacation Bible School every summer. After moving to Quincy, Illinois, she regularly attended Madison Park Christian Church. Patsy loved spending time with her friends and family. When she was home, she loved cooking, baking, tending to her flowers, decorating for every holiday (Halloween being her favorite), and she always had her dog, Joey, by her side. She and her brother, Bob, shared a passion for older cars.
Patsy is survived by her daughter, Nicole Short, of Springfield, Missouri; her brother, Bob (Margaret) Loyd of Mondamin, Iowa; nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Bill and Jack Loyd.
No services will be held at this time. Memorials may be made in Patsy’s memory to the American Heart Association.
