Peggy June Jamison, 98, of Montrose, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at her home.
Peggy was born on November 16, 1926, in Granger, Missouri, the daughter of Eston Urban and Dorothy Evelyn (McGowan) Jones. On February 2, 1948, she was united in marriage to Junior Duane Jamison in Mississippi. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1997.
Peggy was employed at Sheller-Globe in Keokuk as a computer technician and was a talented computer programmer. She was known for her strong work ethic and her love for travel, especially with her grandchildren.
Peggy is survived by her son Paul (Karon) Jamison of Montrose; three grandchildren: Paula (Bruce) Von Busch of Golden, Missouri, Andy (Becca) Jamison of Montgomery, Texas, and Tyler (Lisa) Jamison of Raymond, Nebraska; six great-grandchildren: Haley (Josh) Gillett, Evan Jamison, Brooklyn Jamison, Addyson Jamison, Adam Jamison and Noah Jamison; and two great-great-grandchildren: June and Jett Gillett.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Junior and her grandson Michael Spellman.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm, Monday, June 9, 2025, at Printy Funeral Home in Keokuk, with burial to follow at Keokuk National Cemetery.
