Penelope “Penny” S. Walker

Penelope S. “Penny” Walker, 78, of Carthage, passed away at her sister’s home in Hamilton at 1:00 AM early Friday morning, February 16, 2024.

Penny was born July 14, 1945, to Wilma Spees in Keokuk, Iowa.  She attended Carthage High School, graduating in 1963.  She had worked for several businesses in Springfield, Illinois over the years as a secretary.

Penny is survived by her sister, Cynthia “Cindy” Spees of Hamilton; a grandson, Bryce Priddy; and two great grandchildren, Alexis and Aiden Priddy.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, April Bon Devenbaugh; a brother, James Spees; and her mother, Wilma Spees.

Family services will be held at Rosemont Cemetery in Plymouth at a later date.  Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.  Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
