Representative of Keokuk Senior Lofts Gives Update

Wednesday morning citizens of Keokuk welcomed a representative of the company that is building the Senior Lofts at 9^th and main to the Coffee and Conversation meeting. Pete Schwiegeraht, is a project manager for Ohio-based development company Miller-Valentine and he was excited to give an update on the progress made at the senior living building.

Pete talked about the specifics of the Senior Lofts which will contain 45 1 and 2 bedroom units of which about one third will be market rate priced and other two thirds reduced rate based on average median income.  Schwiegeraht was surprised at the high level of interest Miller-Valentine has gotten regarding renting units at the senior lofts.

Pete Schwiegeraht stated that he anticipates a formal grand opening for the Senior Lofts sometime during the fall.
