Robert Arthur (Bob) Buenzow April 15, 1958 – July 21, 2025 Robert Arthur (Bob) Buenzow, 67, of Hamilton, Illinois, passed away July 21, 2025. Born on April 15, 1958, in Waterloo, Iowa, and united in marriage to Julie Rea, August 26, 1989.

Bob led a life marked by craftsmanship, precision, and creativity. After obtaining a Mechanical Engineering degree from Iowa State University, Bob worked for several prominent engineering firms throughout his career, most notably Methode Electronics, where his creative spirit and technical expertise earned him several patents. His legacy in engineering reflects his passion for innovation and problem-solving. Outside of his professional accomplishments, Bob was a gifted woodworker, always envisioning the completion of his shop where he planned to create custom furniture. He was also an accomplished saxophonist. If he had not pursued engineering, he may have become a professional musician.

Bob was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Cleta Louise Aasberg and Svend Aasberg, survived by his loving wife, Julie, of 35 years: his sons, Michael Buenzow, Christopher Williams (Carly), and Mitchell Buenzow: his daughter Jacqueline Owens (Mike), siblings Kristena Potratz (Chad), Buzz Buenzow (Annie), Bill Aasberg (Craig) and his cherished granddaughter, Caroline. He will be remembered for his sharp mind, his many talents, and the warmth he shared with family and friends.
