“Shameless” star Ethan Cutkosky charged with DUI

SHOWTIME/Chuck Hodes(LOS ANGELES) — Ethan Cutkosky, best known for his role as Carl Gallagher on the Showtime series Shameless, reportedly was arrested in Burbank, California last week on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence, the Los Angeles Times reported on Tuesday.

Burbank police spokesman Sgt. Derek Green tells the newspaper that the 18-year-old actor was seen, “driving erratically at an unsafe an speed, making dangerous turning movements and straddling between lanes.”

Officers allegedly noticed, “the smell of burnt marijuana” when they spoke with Cutkosky, who, “admitted to smoking cannabis earlier that night,” according to Green.

Following a DUI test and a blood draw, Cutkosky was booked into Burbank City Jail. He was released several hours later and issued a citation.

The results from the blood draw are still pending.

Cutkosky is scheduled to appear in court on November 29.
