Susan Jean Sworski

Susan Jean Sworski, 78, of Keokuk passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025 at the Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant, IA.

She was born January 28, 1947 in St. Peter, MN, the daughter of Russell and Norma Schwichtenberg Rapp.

She graduated from high school in Cleveland, MN with the class of 1965.

On May 11, 1974, she was united in marriage to Charlie Sworski in St. Cloud, MN. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2012.

Susan had been employed at Kmart as a sales associate for 20 years.

Susan was a loyal fan of the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings. She loved attending her grandkids activities and playing games and cards.

She is survived by two daughters, Heather (Jeff) Sisk of Keokuk and Holli Sworski of Davenport, IA, one son, Jamie Sworski of Jenks, OK, five grandchildren, Jordan and Kylie Sisk, Brecken, Charlie and Everette Sworski. She is also survived by four sisters, Nancy Vacura, Jill Helling, Beth Souderland and Shelly Miller.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Greg Rapp.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Derek Olsen officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, Monday, from 9-10 a.m., at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time.
