Tamie Renee Shepard, 62, of Fort Madison, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
Tamie was born on December 15, 1962, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn “Jake” and Mable “Corky” (Scott) Wise. She was a member of Harvest Bible Fellowship Church in Fort Madison and was employed at Hy-Vee for forty-one years. She was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan since 1980, and loved Christian music and rock and roll, especially her favorite band, Lynyrd Skynard. She will always be remembered for her ever-present smile and her onery and funny personality.
Tamie is survived by two beautiful daughters: Alexandra “Alex” (Levi) Shepard and Kiya (Cody) Wise; five grandchildren: Alia Johana, Jaycob Emilio, Asher James, Everlee Jane Lucille and Myla Young; two brothers: David (Lois) Wise and Dennis (Jennifer) Wise; sister Lisa (Mike) Washburn; bonus dad Dallas Kreie, bonus daughter Michelle Martin, bonus sister Ronda Swearingen; and many nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly. Tamie didn’t know a stranger. She left behind many close friends, but to her, they were family.
Tamie is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her baby Shane, her nephew Ryan Swearingen and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Harvest Bible Fellowship Church in Fort Madison, with a private family burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Fort Madison. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, from 4 to 7 pm at Harvest Bible Fellowship Church.
