USDA says February milk production was down

February milk production fell 1% nationwide and seven-tenths of a percent in the 24 major dairy-producing states.  USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service says total milk production was 17.5 billion pounds

Milk production in the United States during February totaled 17.5 billion pounds with 16.7 billion of that produced in the major dairy states.  February production per cow in the United States averaged 1,869 pounds,
