Valent CEO says shifting ag economy further highlights need for sustainable solutions

The President and CEO of Valent USA says sustainability is a main focus for both their company and farmer customers.

Matt Plitt tells Brownfield shifting dynamics in the ag economy and the increased cost of capital for growers has furthered underscored the need for sustainable solutions.

“As you look at the cost of operations going up, commodity prices softening, that really means we’ve got to have products that work and we’ve got to be able to engage so that growers are efficient and have ultimate profitability that are seeking to have.”

He says there doesn’t seem to be a true definition of sustainable agriculture and moving forward Valent is looking at the term as more of a journey.
