Wilder Jason Thurmond

Wilder Jason Thurmond was born into heaven on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA.

He was loved from the moment his mommy and daddy found out they were expecting.

Though he left us before ever taking a breath he was deeply loved from the very beginning. He will always be a part of our family, and he will live on forever in that special part of our hearts that is only for him.

He is survived by his parents, Jamari Thurmond and Judith Feilen, one brother, Cordell Thurmond, maternal grandparents, Corey & Jessica Feilen of Mt. Pleasant, IA, paternal grandma, Shawna Washburn and great grandmothers, Letha Davis and Judy Thompson and great-great grandmother, Barb Davis. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, great-great grandparents and other family members.

A gathering will be held from 3 – 5 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with the family meeting with friends at that time.
