Crop conditions improved slightly as Kentucky experienced below-normal temperatures and above-normal precipitation. Corn is rated 60% good to excellent with 8% of the crop silking.  Soybeans are 93% planted, with 83% emerged, 8% blooming, and 66% rated good to excellent.  Some of the late-planted soybeans that have missed recent rains have struggled to germinate. Crop growth started to show signs of delayed development in Michigan last week because of the dry weather.
